Royal Gem is a NEW early season DWARF variety of Nectarine. Exclusive to PlantNet, it is self fertile and has pinkish flesh. It comes from France, a country where passion and food are used in the same sentence!
Royal Gem is a medium sized premium quality Nectarine. It has deep red skin on a creamy background with unique pinkish white flesh. Royal Gem has firm flesh, fantastic taste and flavour, a small clingstone and matures in early December. The tree will grow to 1.5m - 2.0m in both height and width. Completely self fertile this tree will need staking when young as they crop very heavily. Suitable for pots or tubs, this variety certainly fits the bill of the Backyard Beauties range and would be GRANDIOSE in anyone's yard. (NB Product only available in WA for 2010).
