Crimson Baby is a well known variety of Nectarine that has been been bred in Fresno near California...and we have just made it a DWARF variety of Nectarine in Australia!!! The dwarf version is exclusive to PlantNet, and is exactly the same as its full size counterpart but more prolific. This early season fruit (late November) is completely self fertile and very fruitful. It produces an attractive smooth yellowed skin fruit which is almost covered by a red blush, dusted with light-coloured speckles. The tree will grow to 1.5m - 2.0m in both height and width. This tree will need staking when young as they crop very heavily. This variety compliments the Backyard Beauties range by giving the home gardener excellent value for money!
